Podkováň beer is brewed with respect for centuries-old Czech traditions and a commitment to authentic taste. At the heart of every batch is pure water from a unique 300-meter underground spring, one of the cleanest sources in the country, classified as “children’s water.” This natural foundation, combined with the traditional open-fermentation method, gives Podkováň lagers their distinctive character.
The brewery spans 5 hectares, with 2 hectares dedicated to production, and has a historical capacity of 300,000 hectoliters (30 million liters) per year — a scale that reflects both tradition and consistency.
Each brew matures slowly over approximately 40 days at naturally low temperatures, allowing the flavors to develop fully and achieve perfect balance. The result is beer that embodies authenticity, depth, and the unmistakable quality of true Czech brewing heritage.
